I am just a regular Mum who works hard and falls asleep by 9.30pm every night. I wanted to start this to discuss what I go through as a Mum, in the hope other's may not feel alone. Also to share some of the stories I have written for my child, that is my inspiration to create characters.
I feel I have been through a bit of a journey since getting married and becoming a Mum, my mental health has certainly struggled since 2020. Now I feel like I am coming out of a tunnel and seeing light for the first time in years. At work a couple of years ago they had a mental health awareness week. There were various webinars and I signed up for one of the them, I forget what it was called. However on this we had to breakout into small groups, go into a virtual room and discuss one thing we do a day that is for ourselves. When it came to my turn I realised I didn't do anything for myself ever, let alone on a daily basis, and I am pretty sure I wouldn't be alone with this as well.
So I made myself a promise not to hold things in and push to do more for myself. Hence this web page to get my thoughts out and also writing the stories for my daughter, as it is something I enjoy very much.
